How to crack any RPA interview for newbies

Hi All,

I have listed 5 important tips for any aspiring candidate who wanted to have RPA as their career :

1) Fundamentals: If you are a newbie to RPA the interviewer will test your knowledge on the fundamentals. This is a crucial factor and you should answer correctly the fundamental questions. These may include string operations and excel functions.

2) Routine Questions: Prepare yourself to answer the frequently asked questions. For example in Blueprism the most important questions are Login agent, Work queue configuration and Scheduler. While in Automation Anywhere topics like Meta Bots , Task Bots and Object Cloning are frequently asked. Whereas in UiPath knowledge in Flow chart, Sequence and Orchestrator may be tested.

3) Do a mini project: Automation Anywhere and Ui Path are well known for their friendly trial versions. Anyone can download it and practice the tutorials from their respective portals. It will create a great impression if you show case your mini project to the interviewer.

4) Presentation matters: Apart from communication skills, it is also important to answer the questions in a precise way. You can ask for a pen and paper to represent a flow chart rather than explaining it orally.

5) Be Ethical. Yes it matters the most. Even if you are good at all the above four points but unethical (like faking a certificate to get an opportunity) is totally wrong. At the end of any interview, the interviewer will be considering attitude and enthusiasm as a deciding factor to shortlist a candidate.
